Will eyelash extensions damage or cause my natural lashes to fall out?
No. This is a myth arising from the increase in work of improperly trained or even untrained lash artists. When lash extensions are applied properly under a knowledgable and fully-trained artist the process is a relaxing, pain-free treatment that does not affect your natural lash growth or the health of your lash roots. Lashes applied in clumps, with too much glue or stuck to neighbouring lashes will result in gaps and an uncomfortable sensation for the duration of wear. A properly trained lash artist will also know the healthy and appropriate weights to apply to each natural lash, which differs depending on an individual’s natural lashes and which stage of the lash growth cycle it’s in. Repeatedly having poorly applied eyelash extensions can result in permanent gaps in the lash line or long-term lash loss over time.
How long will my new lash Extensions last?
A half set will typically last between 2-3 weeks and full sets between 4-6 weeks, although in certain cases this can be longer depending on aftercare and other factors. This can be greatly affected by your skincare routine, natural lash growth cycle and how you care for your eyelash extensions including avoiding liquid eyeliners and mascara on your new extensions and cleaning them daily with lash shampoo or extensions-friendly cleanser.

If you’d like to maintain the fullness of your extensions it’s recommended to book in for lash infills at the end of your appointments to avoid forgetting and trying to squeeze in last minute!
How often should I be doing lash infills?
We recommend getting lash infills every 2-3 weeks depending on the speed of your natural lash growth cycle and quality of your lash aftercare. A good indicator of needing an infill is when you have 50-60% of your extensions remaining. Waiting too long will lead to most of them falling or growing out and needing to book a new set. Anything under 40% left or over 4 calendar weeks since the last appointment is considered a new set.

Should i prep my lashes before the appointment?
Yes! Please ensure your lashes are squeaky clean with no traces of eye makeup before coming in using an extensions-friendly makeup remover or lash shampoo and rinse thoroughly. We also do a complimentary light clean before application at the beginning of your treatment. Any residues will cause the lash glue to improperly bond to the natural lashes leading to premature falling out of the extensions.
